Background: Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is an autosomal recessive condition which leads to glucocorticoid deficiency. During childhood, the main aims of treatment are to prevent adrenal crisis and to achieve normal stature, optimal adult height and to undergo normal puberty.
